Bio
As Assistant Dean of Operations and Finance, Kathy Kilpatrick oversees budget and finance, human resources, grants and contracts, office management and information technology at the School of Public Affairs. She has worked in higher education for many years, starting with the system office of State Colleges in Colorado in 1996, then joining the (back then) Graduate School of Public Affairs in 2002. After several years at GSPA, she moved to Doha, Qatar and stayed for seven years, working at branch campuses for Virginia Commonwealth University and Texas A&M University there. Once back in the United States, she was happy to rejoin the University of Colorado Denver, amazed at all the changes that had occurred in the university during her time overseas and happy to still see many familiar faces. Kathy is a member of the National Association of Colleges and University Business Officers. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Regis University and a Master of Business Administration from University of Massachusetts Amherst. Her free time is spent with family and friends and mostly outside.
