Robyn Mobbs is an assistant teaching professor at the University of Colorado Denver School of Public Affairs, where she also directs the Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration program and directs the Center on Network Science. Dr. Mobbs loves teaching about leadership, management, negotiation, collaboration, ethics, and systems science. She especially focuses on the application of theories to practice and aims to foster knowledge, skills and techniques needed to successfully implement policies, projects and programs to address problems within organizations and in society. Dr. Mobbs’ research interests and expertise focus on negotiation, collaboration and teamwork, ranging from large cross-sector networks in health, public health, and social services to individual workplace negotiations and conflict resolutions. Her research has also been supported by the National Coordinating Center for Public Health Services and Systems Research, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, and other national and Colorado-based non-profit organizations. She was a Fulbright Scholar at the University of Hong Kong (2015-16) and past Director of the Master of Public Administration Program and Executive Master of Public Administration Program- Shandong at CU Denver School of Public Affairs.
Dr. Mobbs has worked within the University of Colorado system since 2003. Previously, she was an Instructor in the Department of Pediatrics at the School of Medicine, Anschutz Medical Campus. She held leadership roles in various state and federal-level grants, and provided strategic leadership as Head of Administration and Finance of Colorado WIN Partners in the Department of Pediatrics at the School of Medicine. She was also Acting Administrator and Health Administration Discipline Director at JFK Partners, an interdepartmental program of the Departments of Pediatrics and Psychiatry at the School of Medicine. Prior to joining CU, she worked in policy and quality assurance at the University of Wollongong in New South Wales, Australia.
Dr. Mobbs earned her PhD in Public Affairs from the University of Colorado Denver School of Public Affairs. She also has an MBA from the University of Southern Queensland, Australia, and an undergraduate degree in Political Science from the University of Colorado Boulder.
