As the Director of Budget and Research Services for the School Public Affairs, Lauren Goolsby serves as the primary budget and research liaison for all faculty, staff, and students in the school. In her budget role, she develops and oversees the schools budgets, including all general funds, extended studies, auxiliary, and sponsor projects. She also assists faculty principal investigators to submit for sponsored project research grants and manages them after they are awarded. This includes budget development and tracking, grant submissions, setup and payment of subcontracts, finance compliance, project closeout and billing, and financial reporting.
Lauren has worked for the University of Colorado Denver since 2005 doing finance and grant work in various positions. Prior to joining the School of Public Affairs, she worked for the School of Medicine, Department of Physical Medicine and Rehab. She graduated from the CU Denver Business School with her Bachelor of Science degree with an emphasis in business administration. She has also served on various university committees over the years.
Lauren is a Colorado native who in her free time enjoys taking trips and spending time with her husband, infant son, and their three dogs.
