Joe Schreiner is a criminal justice educator, researcher, and law enforcement professional with experience spanning policing, criminal investigations, forensic science, intelligence analysis, and higher education. Joe serves as Chair of Public Safety and Paralegal Studies and Professor at the Community College of Denver, where responsibilities include teaching a wide range of criminal justice courses, leading curriculum development, and advancing innovative instructional practices. Prior law enforcement experience includes service with the Denver District Attorney's Office, the Mead Police Department, the Vail Police Department, and the Gunnison Police Department.

Joe earned a Ph.D. in Criminal Justice with a specialization in Law and Public Policy from Walden University and holds a Master of Science in Criminology. Joe's scholarship focuses on policing, trauma, resiliency, and criminal investigations, while classroom instruction draws upon extensive practitioner experience to help students understand the evolving challenges facing criminal justice professionals.
