Matt Harris is a public safety executive, educator, and public administration leader with nearly three decades of leadership experience in federal, state, and local government. Matt currently serves as Associate Vice Chancellor and Chief of Police for the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. Previous leadership positions include Sheriff of Clear Creek County, United States Marshal for the District of Utah, and Senior Executive Service leadership roles within multiple federal law enforcement and oversight agencies. In addition to an accomplished public service career, Matt has taught public administration, criminal justice, criminal law, and public policy courses for more than fifteen years and has published scholarship on leadership, policing, and government oversight.

Matt holds a Ph.D. and is a Certified Fraud Examiner with extensive experience in organizational leadership, government accountability, law enforcement oversight, and public policy. Matt's teaching emphasizes ethical leadership, evidence-informed decision making, and practical strategies for improving public institutions through transparency, accountability, and effective governance.
