Joan Fishburn currently serves as the Alumni Relations and Career Services Specialist for the School of Public Affairs. Her goals are to create a positive student experience that provides the opportunities and tools needed for students to achieve career success and to support an engaged alumni community. She loves creating opportunities for students to connect directly with alumni to understand and experience the practitioner side of public affairs and criminal justice. Before coming to the School of Public Affairs, she led a team of career advisors at the Leeds School of Business at CU Boulder, focusing on student engagement and career readiness. She is an active member of NACE and CCSA, where she previously served as president. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Villanova University and a Master of Arts in Educational Foundations, Policy and Practice from the CU Boulder School of Education.
