Anna Crawford

Anna is a Ph.D. candidate specializing in policy process research with a substantive focus on abortion/repro politics and policy. She is a research assistant with the Center for Policy and Democracy and teaches courses on policy processes, policy analysis, political advocacy, and social movements. 

Anna’s dissertation—funded by a grant from the Society of Family Planning—explores issues of intersectionality and representation within advocacy coalitions during policy conflict. Her published research can be found in journals such as Policy Sciences, Policy and Society, the Review of Policy Research, and the International Review of Public Policy.

She earned her graduate certificate in public policy analysis from CU Denver, her M.A. in English from Penn State University, and her B.A. in English and Anthropology from Texas Tech University. Anna met her partner when they were both serving as Peace Corps Volunteers in Ukraine, and they now live together in Denver with their children, cats, and books.
