Public policy & society

Public policy is the language used to formalize a society’s priorities and commitments to its members. The School of Public Affairs faculty conduct research in a wide range of substantive policy areas, such as education, health, and urban policy, as well as the social impacts of policies on marginalized populations and the nature of the policy process itself in a democratic society.

  • CU Denver School of Public Affairs hosts 2019 APPAM conference in Denver

    CU Denver School of Public Affairs was a co-host for the 2019 conference of the Association for Public Policy Analysis and Management (APPAM), held at the Sheraton Denver Downtown Hotel from November 7 to 9. This year’s conference theme was “Rising to the Challenge: Engaging Diverse Perspectives on Issues and Evidence,” and more than 20 of the school’s faculty and students are participating.
