Fred Marienthal
Fred Marienthal is a Partner in Kutak Rock LLP’s Denver office. Fred has been with the law firm for more than 40 years and has participated in over 1,000 financings aggregating $32 billion. He has successfully collaborated with the firm’s clients to develop and implement creative and innovative “first-of-their-kind” financing structures. He focuses his practice on higher education facility financings, conduit private activity bonds, charter school financings, nonprofit facility financings and affordable housing transactions. Colorado Governors Roy Romer, Bill Owens and Bill Ritter appointed Fred to serve on the Colorado Municipal Bond Supervision Advisory Board. Fred serves as a board member for Kitchen Sisters Productions, Public Media Company, Friends’ School, the University of Colorado Denver School of Public Affairs Advisory Board, and the Board of Trustees of the University of Colorado Foundation. On December 27, 2010, the newspaper Law Week Colorado named Fred as one of 11 "Lawyers of the Year" in the State of Colorado. Fred received a Bachelor of Arts degree, with distinction, from the University of Arizona in 1977, a Master of Public Administration degree from the University of Colorado in 1979 and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Denver in 1982. Prior to joining Kutak Rock in 1983, Fred served as a staff assistant to United States Representative Timothy E. Wirth (D Colo.) during the 97th and 98th Congresses.
