Hosted by the Criminal Justice Research Initiative
Visiting Scholar, Dr. Angie Henderson, and Megan Lundstrom will be coming to campus to conduct a trauma-informed interview training. The training will cover the following:
- Trauma-informed practices (focused on research/data collection)
- Definition of and examples of qualitative interviewing with a trauma-informed focus (and examples of what not to do)
- Resources and guiding principles from the Office of Trafficking in Persons and Office for Victims of Crime Training and Technical Assistance Center
- How trauma presents in Law Enforcement or research interviews
- On-the Spot techniques and tools to adjust to trauma responses in interviews
- Basic terminology training, including domestic pimp-controlled trafficking, illicit massage parlor trafficking, familial trafficking, and gang-controlled trafficking
This training is FREE for Students, and is $50 for faculty, staff or community members.
