SPA PhD students recipients of pandemic research awards

In October, CU Denver announced the winners of the CU Denver 2021 Pandemic Research and Creative Activities Award. SPA was very well represented among the awardees.
CU Denver Distinguished Honor Award for faculty or staff members whose pandemic efforts led to outstanding service or research achievements of marked statewide or national significance: Dr. Deserai Crow
The Impact Award in the area of policy for faculty and staff who partnered directly with the local, national, and global community to confront the pandemic: Prof. Chris Weible.
The DEI Award for faculty who exposed and spotlighted ways in which the pandemic exacerbated society’s existing disparities: Prof. Angela Gover
The Student Award for student MVPs who went above and beyond to contribute to research and the pandemic effort at large: PhD candidates and SPA lecturers Stephanie Bultema and Jongeun You
