The Center on Domestic Violence presents: "I Just Can't Think Straight."

In honor of our 20th Anniversary, the Center on Domestic Violence presents:

“I Just Can’t Think Straight” Traumatic Brain Injury and Strangulation caused by Domestic Violence 

Presented by: Rachel Ramirez, LSW 

This workshop will review original research and findings on the impact of brain injuries on domestic violence victims and help participants better understand strangulation and traumatic brain injury. The course will also teach the use of the framework, CARE, to assist service providers in identifying and accommodating the unique needs of brain-injured survivors. Specific resources and tools will be provided for both survivors and service providers to assist in gaining support within agencies and systems for effectively responding to this issue.
