CU Denver School of Public Affairs strives to be an educational resource by offering a number of timely and relevant events each year. Community members, students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends are invited to learn more about current topics and participate in ongoing discussions involving the fields of public administration, local governance, environmental sustainability, education and criminal justice. Capstone Orientation ... and Secrets Exposed

The School of Public Affairs and the MPA Student Association (MPASA) are co-hosting this informative and interactive event that shares the basic requirements of the capstone project as well as the inside scoop on how to complete it successfully. This orientation prepares students to identify a project and/or client and start thinking about developing an action plan in preparation for the capstone course. While MPA students planning to register for the Spring 2020 capstone course are required to attend, those taking the capstone class in Fall 2020 and beyond are also encouraged to come. 

For those required to come, please plan your work schedule accordingly.     

Note: The location has been changed to Room 1100 in the CU Building.

AGENDA:

4:45-5:30 p.m.  Networking with Prospective Capstone Clients and Alumni Panelists
5:30-6:30 p.m.  Alumni Panel: First-Hand Experiences
6:30-7:00 p.m.  Mandatory Capstone Overview and Requirements Presentation
7:00 p.m.  Closing Remarks & Additional Networking

Light refreshments will be served. 
      
Attendance is mandatory for students registering for the capstone course in Spring 2020. 

All students must watch the capstone seminar orientation video for each of their respective programs.
