Sojeong Kim

I am a PhD candidate, lecturer, and research assistant at the School of Public Affairs at the University of Colorado Denver. My research interests include sustainable and collaborative governance, particularly natural resources policy and sustainable local management. My dissertation focuses on how local communities and governments interact in a co-management system to pursue sustainable fisheries resources.

Before joining the PhD program, I served as a research assistant at the National Institute of Forest Science (NIFoS) in South Korea, conducting research on forest policies related to people's welfare. I also worked as a research assistant at the Center for Korean Studies at Fudan University in Shanghai, China, studying relationships between North Korea and China.

I earned a BA in Economics from Ajou University and a Master's in Public Policy from KDI School, with concentrations in regional development and environment.
