The 2019-2020 Education Policy Networking Series opens December 2 with a discussion of the impact of disruption and trauma on families at the Mexico border. Children and families in Denver are highly impacted by the news from the border. Their trauma is compounded by the ICE raids to find and deport undocumented immigrants living here.
What is our role as educators in providing support and comfort to children and families? Can schools serve as a safe place for children in such a turbulent time?
