Vivian Aranda-Hughes has been an assistant professor of Criminology and Criminal Justice at the University of Colorado Denver School of Public Affairs since 2022. Dr. Aranda-Hughes received her PhD in Criminology and Criminal Justice from Florida State University. She has worked on multiple government-funded research projects and her work has been published in a variety of journals, including Social Problems, Justice Quarterly, Criminal Justice and Behavior, Feminist Criminology, and Crime and Delinquency. Dr. Aranda-Hughes’s research focuses, broadly, on crime, violence, and the criminal justice system.
